TriO3 is based in Fort Pierce, Florida. It is a company with both feet firmly placed in the present and its eyes on the future. TriO3 was founded with the philosophy of manufacturing inovative, affordable, state of the art, ozone-generating products, engineered for the commercial market as well as the general public for both air, food and water purification and treatment.
Vision / Mission
In 1996, TriO3 Industries, Inc., was formed and acquired Triogen, Inc., (a former corporation found to have the same name as a company in Scotland), with the objective of becoming a major leader in the ozone industry by positioning itself for dynamic growth through its diversified product line, aimed at increasing revenue and market penetration through sales of TriO3 ozone generators. This as a direct result of consumer awareness, education and legislative regulatory changes.
Over the past 11 years the President and Founder of the Company, Clarence Marsden, has been perfecting ozone generatorsand systems, which include patentable components. TriO3 believes its products are the best in the world for their size and useage. The company has developed and confirmed that through on site testing it has the highest quality and most efficient products in the world.
TriO3's T-Cell Ozone Generator combines the power and efficiency of advanced, air-cooled corona discharge technology with computer electronics to provide the most reliable, cost effective system in today's marketplace. The T-Cell delivers ozone, Nature's most powerful oxidizer, in the industry's highest concentrations, whether using dried air or oxygen feed gas. The T-Cell is ideal for a wide range of water treatment applications employing sparging, Venturi or in-line ozone injection processes.
Our primary products are ozone generators and for small to medium size generators we are considered a leader in the United States. Our machines are powerful, economical and reliable but we do have different ideas about the generation of ozone.
It has been our experience that to generate ozone using corona discharge equipment that the dryers or oxygen generator must be reliable and perform to specifications or all ozone generators will fail. Because of this, we are committed to providing a package that will be reliable and will not fail. Thus, it required us to design our own air dryers and our own oxygen generators.
We make a model called a TC-8, which is a very small machine. It is in a package that is 19 inches by 16 inches by 9 inches deep. It is a Nema Four Enclosure made of fiberglass reinforced plastic and within this box is an ozone generator and oxygen concentrator. To operate this unit you simply plug it in and turn on the switch and it makes 10 grams per hour. Nothing else is needed. We were the first company to offer this type of packaged unit.

One of the new technologies emerging worldwide is the application and use of one of nature's secrets, Ozone. This technology has the ability to help provide all three. Ozone is rapidly becoming mainstream, not only here in the United States, but in Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia and Russia.
Trio3 Ozone is currently being used in the processing of fruits and vegetables, the storage of meat and processing of poultry. It is used for purifying water in most major cities in the United States. It is used in bottled water plants worldwide and the reason is simple. Ozone has the abaility to clean and purify air, food and water, without effecting the taste or appearance. It is hell on pathogens as shown below.
The antipathogenic effects of ozone have been substantiated for several decades. Its killing action upon bacteria, viruses, fungi, and in many species of protozoa, serve as the basis for its increasing use in disinfecting municipal water supplies in cities worldwide.
Bacteria are microscopically small single-cell creatures having a primitive structure. They take up foodstuffs and release metabolic products, and multiply by division. The bacteria body is sealed by a relatively solid cell membrane. Their vital processes are controlled by a complex enzymatic system. Ozone interferes with the metabolism of bacterium cells, most likely through inhibiting and blocking the operation of the enzymatic control system. A sufficient amount of ozone breaks through the cell membrane, and this leads to the destruction of the bacteria.
Viruses are small, independent particles, built of crystals and macromolecules. Unlike bacteria, they multiply only within the host cell. Ozone destroys viruses by diffusing through the protein coat into the nucleic acid core, resulting in damage of the viral RNA. At higher concentrations, ozone destroys the capsid or exterior protein shell by oxidation.
Numerous families of viruses including poliovirus I and 2, human rotavruses, Norwalk virus, Parvoviruses, and Hepatitis A, B and non-A non-B©, among many others, are susceptible to the virucidal actions of ozone.
Most research efforts on ozone's virucidal effects have centered upon ozone's propensity to break apart lipid molecules at sites of multiple bond configuration. Indeed, once the lipid envelope of the virus is fragmented, its DNA or RNA core cannot survive.
Viruses have no protections against oxidative stress. Normal mammalian cells, on the other hand possess complex systems of enzymes (i.e., superoxide dismutase, catalase, peroxidase), which tend to ward off the nefarious effects of free radical species and oxidative challenge. It may thus be possible to treat infected tissues with ozone, respecting the homeostasis derived from their natural defenses, while neutralizing offending and attacking pathogen devoid of similar defenses.
Fungi families inhibited and destroyed by exposure to ozone include Candida, Aspergilus, Histoplasma, Actinomycoses, and Cryptococcus. The walls of fungi are multilayered and re composed of approximately 80% carbohydrates and 10% of proteins and glycoproteins.

Clostridium Bacteria: Ozone-Susceptible.
Clostridium Botulinum Spores: Its toxin paralyzes the central nervous system, being a poison multiplying in food and meals. 0.4 to 0.5 mg/1.
Diphtheria Pathogen: Destroyed by 1.5 to 2 mg/1.
Eberth Bacillus (Typhus abdominalis): Destroyed by 1.5 to 2 mg/1.
Echo Virus 29: This virus most sensitive to ozone. After a contact time of 1 Minute at 1 mg/1 of ozone, 99.999% killed.
Escheriachia Coli Bacteria (from feces): Destroyed by 0.2 mg/1 within 30 seconds.
Encephalomyocarditis Virus: Destroyed to zero level in less than 30 seconds with 0.1 to 0.8 mg/1.
Enterovirus Virus: Destroyed to zero level in less than 30 seconds with 0.1 to 0.8 mg/1.
GDVII Virus: Destroyed to zero level in less than 30 seconds with 0.1 to 0.8 mg/1.
Herpes Virus: Destroyed to zero level in less than 30 seconds with 0.1 to 0.8 mg/1.
Influenza Virus: 0.4 to 0.5 mg/1.
Klebs-Loffler Virus: Destroyed by 1.5 to 2 mg/1.
Poliomyelitis Virus: Kill of 99.999% with 0.3 to 0.4 mg/1 in 3 to 4 minutes.
Proteus Bacteria: Very Susceptible.
Pseudomonal Bacteria: Very Susceptible.
Rhabdovirus Virus: Destroyed to zero level in less than 30 seconds.
Salmonella Bacteria: Very Susceptible.

Our company has been in the forefront for the application of this new and exciting technology. TriO3 Industries of Fort Pierce, Florida, located on the Atlantic coast of the state of Florida in the United States, has invented and developed not only its own proprietary ozone generator and generation system, but it's own Venturi injection system for the application of ozone to water, its own oxygen generators for the production of ozone, since ozone is produced by cracking an oxygen molecule. In the agricultural industry TriO3 was one of the first companies to utilize ozone in the production and storage of apples. Kropf Fruit in Belding, MI is a success story that TriO3 can point to. All apples produced by Kropf Fruit through their packing plant in Belding, MI, are processed through a TriO3 ozone water system. In addition, the apples are currently stored in a controlled storage atmosphere using ozone produced by and system produced by TriO3. The result is a cleaner apple and a longer lasting apple.
The same technology was applied to oranges and grapefruits at the Indian River warehouse for DNE. DNE, the largest private seller and shipper of grapefruits in the world, utilizes TriO3's Ozone GasBuster system for the elimination of ethylene gas and all pathogens and bacteria at the Indian River Terminal. This has resulted in a loss rate declining from 28% in extended cold storage down to 6%. A success story again made possible only by TriO3 Industries.
This company invented and donated to the University of Florida at Food, Science and Technology Laboratory, the world's first ozone ice machine. This machine encapsulates ozone within the ice itself, when the ice upon melting releases ozone gas, thereby, extending the life of all fruits, vegetables, produce, as well as any meat or poultry or fish preserved by the ice.
In addition, TriO3 has developed and perfected an ozone re-hydrator for the re-hydration of vegetables in supermarkets and is currently being tested by a large chain in three locations. This machine is designed to remove all pesticides, pathogens and bacteria, and to re-hydrate or re-crisp all the vegetables. In addition, it can be utilized to wash all the fruit also, as well as, cleaning up hand tools such as knives, cleavers, etc., used in the processing rooms at the supermarket.
The company has invented and is currently producing a new and innovative machine for the washing of fruits and vegetables in packinghouses to be tested by the United States Department of Agriculture. This machine is designed to solve problems in production that currently cannot be solved by traditional chemical treatment. This machine will be tested throughout this summer and upon validation will be available to the industry worldwide.

The water treatment industry as a whole continues to grow at a rate of approximately 11% per year and is currently a $10 Billion per year market. Ozone water treatment is growing at a rate of 21% annually.
Research and Development
Basic components of TriO3 products have been developed and with each new challenge further research will be needed to enter into many as yet un-identified markets.
New applications for ozone generators are continually being identified for application in different industries, i.e. for hog, chicken and turkey farms as well as the citrus industries. TriO3 is working directly with key individuals in these industries and expects to capitalize in these markets by providing a product that has already proven itself.
Production and Delivery
Our current products are manufactured at our facility in Fort Pierce, Florida. Our projected sales forcasts indicate a need for expanded facilities for manufacturing, R&D, engineering and administration needs.
The Gas Buster Series of products are provided to the sewage / waste industry of cities and municipalities for reduction of the odors and odor producing bacteria. Ozone is unmatched as a deodorizer, even at low concentrations Lift stations also known as wet wells serve as a collection station for human waste. The purpose of these stations is to give the sewage a lift or push to the sewage treatment facility. The pumps cause the sewage to outgas, emitting noxious odors caused by hydrogen sulfide. This Hydrogen Sulfide has literally caused tremendous decay to the concrete encasements of these systems as well as this deadly gas has maimed, even killed people. Biofilm is also present in these wet wells. TriO3's Gas Buster neutralizes the Hydrogen Sulfide, kills the bacteria present and eliminates the potentially dangerous noxious odors present reducing the deterioration of the wet well.
T series Ozone generators produce more ozone and higher concentration per size than any other generator currently being manufactured. The larger ozone units are modular and are rack mountable in any combination to produce the amount of ozone demanded by a particular application. These features make available an inexpensive way for underdeveloped nations to provide purified potable water to remote locations.
Cooling tower Ozone Systems are ozone water purification systems that provide a means of maintaining clean water bacteria free and algae free reducing the maintenance and water requirements for cooling tower systems used on nearly all large buildings. Ozone destroys Legionnaires bacteria completely and many times faster than other disinfectant.
Gas Buster products are aimed mostly at waste management facilities of large cities and municipalities. The Gas Buster system reduces the odors vented into the atmosphere from waste collection stations as well as ozone converts harmful acids within the pump stations to inert non harmful agents providing extended life and a greatly reduced maintenance cost to the local government. There are 12 systems installed and 10 systems are now on order and several more systems are in use on a test and evaluation basis all over North America.
Cooling Tower Ozone Systems, a product aimed at large industrial buildings, hotels and office buildings with water-cooling towers for use with air conditioning systems. The clear advantage to use of this system is reduced cost of maintenance and operating expenses of these cooling towers.
Triofresh and Trioice systems
The TriOFresh machines is designed for the preservation and extended shelf life of all fruits and vegetables. We have been asked many times what does this machine do and how does it work. The answer is that it cleans all fruits and vegetables, removing all pathogens, viruses, bacteria, fungus, molds, algae and pesticides. It also rehydrates the fruits and vegetables, making these fresh once again. Rehydration means that this machine is capable of opening up the cell network in all plants, driving fresh, pure, clean water back into the cell network, allowing these vegetables to become green and crisp again.
This machine works to solve a problem that is becoming epidemic here in the United States. Since 1997, the importation of fresh fruits and vegetables has almost doubled. Yet the same agency responsible for the inspection of all fruits and vegetables, the Food and Drug Administration, has increased their agents/inspectors by a factor of one person. As a matter of fact, the fruits and vegetables arriving in this country, the ones caught and turned back by the FDA, are available for inspection on the Internet. It is possible to look up what has been turned away and why. The report is called the OASIS Detention List. For the month of February 2001 they turned back 71 loads of filthy vegetables, 26 were poisonous, 272 had illegal pesticides and 11 had unsafe additives. These are the types of fruits and vegetables getting onto the shelves of the grocery stores here in the United States, and the reason for the existence of this machine.
Industrial, municipal water treatment markets and residential and commercial markets are not directed by government regulations. Deregulation can only elevate the industry by forcing consumers to treat their own water. The upward trend for quality drinking water and quality air with respect to taste and health will continue to encourage commercial users to provide this enticement to their prospective clientele. The design of all system components are engineered in our facility and the manufacture of the components are subcontracted out, allowing manufacturing to respond to orders by assembling orders in the configuration required in a very short time.
